Terra Rossa Gold has contracted Kluane Drilling S.A.S. for a first-phase drilling programme of up to 5,000 metres at its wholly owned Vetas gold project in the Santander district of Colombia. The company says the work will begin with a single diamond drill rig and that drilling is expected to start in early August.
The programme has two stated objectives. The first is a set of verification holes intended to confirm results from a drill campaign carried out between 2010 and 2013 in parts of the existing mineral resource. Re-drilling historical holes is standard practice where an operator wants to bring older data up to current reporting standards before relying on it.
The second objective is to test for wider zones of stockwork-type mineralisation — closely spaced networks of mineralised veinlets rather than a single discrete vein — at Real Minera and comparable occurrences within the company's titles.
According to the release, drilling will open at pad RM-03, targeting verification holes DDH008 and DDH013, chosen because access is easiest. Two further verification pads, RM-05 and RM-08, are also planned.
Terra Rossa says its geological team has spent recent months on reconnaissance mapping and sampling, and has combined geophysical and geochemical data with historical drillhole information in a three-dimensional project model. That model is to underpin a more detailed surface mapping campaign running alongside the drilling. The company describes Vetas as part of the Vetas-California district, a belt of intrusion-related vein and stockwork quartz gold deposits, and reports at least three intrusive rock types on the property, including a dacite porphyry.
Several figures that would help gauge the programme are absent from the announcement. Terra Rossa did not disclose the value of the Kluane contract, a budget for the 5,000 metres, or its cash position going into the campaign. No mineral resource tonnage or grade was restated, and no timetable for assay results was given. The technical content was reviewed and approved by Doug Kirwin, a qualified person under Canada's NI 43-101 disclosure standard.
Separately, the company reported the outcome of its annual general meeting, held on 28 July 2026. Shareholders fixed the board at six members and elected Patrick Downey, Carter Smith, Michael Halvorson, Timothy Moody, Patrick Robinson and Richard Wilson. They also approved DeVisser Gray LLP as auditor for the coming fiscal year, authorised directors to set the auditor's fees, and passed a resolution updating the company's rolling share option plan.
Terra Rossa trades on the TSX Venture Exchange and on the OTCQB market in the United States.
