canadaKirkland Lake Discoveries Reports 91 Metres at 0.50 g/t Gold at Mirado

Eight new holes at the Mirado gold project returned a 91.0 m interval grading 0.50 g/t gold and a narrower 6.7 m intersection at 18.99 g/t. A first regional hole 500 m west of the deposit is awaiting assays.

Kirkland Lake Discoveries Corp. reported 0.50 g/t gold over 91.0 metres in hole KLM26-019 at its Mirado gold project in Ontario's Abitibi belt, part of a batch of eight drill holes released on July 23, 2026. The interval included 1.13 g/t over 23.76 m and 10.94 g/t over 0.76 m, and according to the company extends the South Zone mineralisation roughly 130 m to the northwest.

A second result, from KLM26-017, returned 18.99 g/t gold over 6.65 m, including 125.91 g/t over 1.0 m. The company says the hole tests structures below the historical resource at Mirado. KLM26-018 hit 0.66 g/t over 1.5 m at about 387 m downhole, which the release describes as supporting the presence of mineralised structures at depth.

At the North Zone, KLM26-013 stepped 85 m west of the existing drill pattern and returned 0.98 g/t over 35.0 m, including 12.20 g/t over 1.0 m, followed by 0.61 g/t over 23.0 m.

Other holes were lower grade. KLM26-016 returned 0.35 g/t over 28.0 m, KLM26-015 returned 1.33 g/t over 5.5 m and 0.77 g/t over 18.0 m, and KLM26-012 and KLM26-014 produced a series of intervals mostly between 0.30 g/t and 0.50 g/t.

Readers should note how the intervals are calculated. Composites use a 0.2 g/t gold cut-off and include up to 6.9 m of internal dilution, meaning consecutive material below that cut-off is averaged into the reported number. Assays are uncut, so the 125.91 g/t sub-interval is carried at full value into the 18.99 g/t average. True widths are estimated at about 80% of the reported core lengths.

Gold was analysed at Paragon Geochemical using Chrysos PhotonAssay on roughly 500 g samples, with results above the 350 g/t detection limit re-run by 1 kg screen fire assay. Standards and blanks were inserted at about one per 20 samples. The technical content was approved by Benjamin Cleland, P.Geo., the company's vice-president of exploration.

Kirkland Lake Discoveries also drilled its first hole on a regional target, KLM26-035 at the MZ Zone about 500 m west of the Mirado deposit. The company reports intense chlorite, silica and epidote alteration with disseminated and fracture-filled pyrite, and says the style resembles that seen in earlier mineralised holes. Assays from MZ remain pending, and the release notes that visual observations do not necessarily indicate gold grade.

Sixteen holes are awaiting assays and drilling is continuing. The company says a regional drill permit now covers the whole of the KL South project. Mirado has a historical mineralised footprint but no current resource estimate is cited in the release, and the announcement contains no information on cash position, spending or the size of the remaining drill budget.
