Worksport says July product orders hit $2.52 million, a new company record. But 'orders' and recognized revenue aren't the same figure, and every number in the release is still preliminary.

Worksport makes tonneau covers for pickup trucks, along with solar integrations and portable power systems designed to fit the same market. In July, the company says, customers ordered more of its products in a single month than at any point in its history.

Worksport, Ltd. NASDAQ: WKSP

The company said in an August 26 release that July product orders reached about $2.52 million, a new company record. That figure is an operating metric, not a recognized revenue number: of the total, about $2.22 million became preliminary net sales after fulfillment, while roughly $300,000 remained in backlog at month-end — firm orders that haven't yet cleared the revenue-recognition requirements under standard accounting rules.

The $2.22 million in preliminary net sales was up roughly 60% from the approximately $1.38 million Worksport posted in March, and the company says net sales rose in every month of 2026 through July. Gross margin came in at 30.8%, the third consecutive month above 30%, which the company says reflects a materially stronger profit base than it had at the start of the year.

Worksport put its annualized revenue rate at $30 million and, according to the release, anticipates that figure will keep rising. That projection is the company's own. All July results are preliminary and unaudited, pending the company's external financial reporting close.

Shares closed 23.53% higher at $0.6300 two days after the release, on dollar volume of about $138 million.

Short volume on that session was reported at about 52.5 million shares against a free float of roughly 14.4 million — making the day's short volume more than three times the available float.

The orders still in backlog at July's end will count as revenue only once those shipments go out and the applicable recognition conditions are satisfied — meaning a portion of the record order book is still waiting to clear.
