VANCOUVER, BC, Aug. 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Purecore Metals Inc. CSE: PURE | FWB: J8Y | OTCQB: PPURF

Purecore Metals' common shares began trading on the OTCQB Venture Market under the symbol PPURF, giving the Vancouver-based company a US-dollar quotation alongside its existing listings. The Canadian Securities Exchange remains the primary listing, where the shares trade as PURE, and the company is also quoted in Frankfurt under J8Y.

The OTCQB is a US over-the-counter tier operated by OTC Markets Group for early-stage and developing companies. A quotation there is not a stock exchange listing and does not involve an offering of securities.

Purecore states that no capital was raised and no new shares were issued in connection with the quotation, and that its issued and outstanding share count is unchanged. The release does not disclose what that share count is, nor does it give a cash position, budget or planned work programme.

The company says the OTCQB quotation allows US broker-dealers to participate in trading and provides so-called Blue Sky recognition in a number of US states — meaning the shares can be offered to retail and institutional investors in those states under state securities rules.

A second step is still outstanding. Purecore says it has applied for Depository Trust Company eligibility and expects a determination in the coming weeks. DTC eligibility allows shares to clear and settle electronically inside US brokerage accounts; without it, trades typically have to be settled manually, which brokers often discourage. The company notes there is no assurance eligibility will be granted.

What the company holds

Purecore's main asset is an option to earn up to a 100% interest in the 35,029-hectare Yurchison Uranium Property in the Wollaston Domain of northern Saskatchewan, in the Athabasca Basin region. The release's own cautionary language is explicit on the status of that asset: as at the date of the announcement, Purecore holds no ownership interest in Yurchison, only the option, and the option carries conditions the company must satisfy.

Purecore also owns a 100% interest in the Bankier Property, a critical minerals project in British Columbia. No exploration results, resource estimates or drill data for either property are included in the release.

The market backdrop cited

Most of the announcement is devoted to US uranium supply figures rather than to company activity. Citing the US Energy Information Administration's 2024 Uranium Marketing Annual Report, Purecore says US civilian utilities carry 184 million pounds of unfilled uranium requirements for 2025 to 2034, against a maximum anticipated market need of 418 million pounds over the same period.

The release adds that domestic-origin material accounted for 8% of uranium delivered to US reactors in 2024, and that Canada was the largest single supplier at 18.6 million pounds, or 36% of deliveries. It also points to Russian sanctions and export restrictions narrowing alternative sources, with the US importer waiver set to expire at the end of 2027, and to federal targets calling for a quadrupling of domestic nuclear capacity.

Those figures describe the uranium market, not Purecore's position in it. The company has no production, and the property it links to that demand is held under option.

Chief executive Peter Berdusco framed the move in terms of access rather than funding: "Listing on the OTCQB puts our shares in front of these investors in their own currency, on their own market hours, without issuing an additional share to do it."

For shareholders, the practical content of the announcement is narrow. A US-dollar quotation broadens who can trade the stock during US hours, and the company says it did so without any change to its capital structure. It does not add cash, advance the Yurchison option, or produce exploration results. The next disclosed milestone is the DTC determination.
