Xtant Medical makes bone grafts for spine and orthopedic surgeons. On August 27, the company **announced a move into dental and oral surgery markets across North America** — not through its own sales force, but through a partner's.

Xtant Medical Holdings, Inc. NYSEAMERICAN: XTNT

The company signed an **exclusive deal with BioHorizons, a unit of dental distributor Henry Schein**, making BioHorizons the sole channel for Xtant's allogeneic growth factor product — materials derived from donated human tissue, designed to encourage bone healing — in dental offices and oral surgery practices across the US and Canada. BioHorizons will sell the product under its own brand name, Prolifica™; Xtant markets the same technology as OsteoFactor Pro™.

**No dollar value was disclosed** for the deal, and neither company gave revenue projections or sales targets.

Two days after the announcement, shares **closed 16.36% higher at $0.3840**, on dollar volume of about $31.3 million.

The agreement makes BioHorizons Xtant's **exclusive route into dental and oral surgery** in North America. Xtant supplies the product and handles manufacturing; BioHorizons owns every customer relationship in that channel. What Xtant earns per unit sold, the release does not say.

Both companies called it a long-term relationship. Neither said how long.
