The debt was due this September. After reaching agreement with five Brazilian banks, Largo won't have to touch the principal for another six months after closing — and won't finish repaying until March 2030.

Largo Inc. NASDAQ: LGO

Largo and its Brazilian operating subsidiary, Largo Vanádio de Maracás S.A., signed a binding term sheet on August 20 to restructure **about $82 million owed to Banco do Brasil, BTG Pactual, Bradesco, Santander and Caixa Econômica Federal**, the company said in its release. The final maturity moves from September 2026 to March 2030\. For the first six months, no principal is due; after that, **quarterly principal payments run for 36 months**, with interest continuing monthly throughout.

The extension matters because Largo is trying to build cash from two sources it is still ramping up. The company says it is increasing production of copper, gold, platinum and palladium concentrates at the Maracás Menchen Mine as by-products of its vanadium operations, and is preparing **the first shipment of high-purity vanadium pentoxide to the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency** under a **$60 million first order announced in July 2026**, according to the release. Neither stream is yet generating meaningful cash — the restructuring is designed to give Largo time before lenders start collecting principal.

Shares closed 15.92% higher at $0.7440 after the announcement, on dollar volume of about $1.6 million.

The term sheet is not a final agreement. Largo says the restructuring still requires definitive documentation, including settlement of the interest rate and the collateral package that Largo and its subsidiary will provide. Until those are in place and customary closing conditions are met, the deal is not done.

The company is also conducting a strategic review of its tungsten assets in Canada and Brazil, which it mentioned as a separate path for unlocking value. No terms or timeline for that process were disclosed.
