# Boot Hill's DraftKings Deal Runs Ten Years. Its State License Runs Three.

Boot Hill Casino's new arrangement with DraftKings runs for **ten years**. The government contract that makes it possible runs for three.

BUTLER NATIONAL CORP OTC: BUKS 

Butler National Corporation's casino subsidiary BHCMC, LLC signed two agreements on August 17\. One extends Boot Hill Casino & Resort's management contract with the Kansas Lottery by **three years, beginning September 1, 2027**, running the state relationship through 2030\. The other amends and extends Boot Hill's existing arrangement with DraftKings — which handles online and mobile sports wagering — for a full decade. The DraftKings deal is explicitly conditional on Boot Hill continuing to hold its Kansas Lottery management authority.

Under the Kansas Lottery renewal, Butler National Service Corporation receives **90% of all sports wagering revenue** it generates, according to the 8-K filed August 20\. That figure is subject to adjustment if state law requires changes. The original agreement was a five-year contract put in place after Kansas authorised lottery-owned sports wagering in 2022\. The new extension carries the same material terms, the filing states.

The filing does not explain why the two contracts run for different lengths. DraftKings has committed for ten years; Boot Hill's underlying state-granted authority ends in 2030\. If Kansas does not extend Boot Hill's management contract again after that point, the DraftKings arrangement collapses with it — the filing states this condition plainly. The DraftKings extension includes updated commercial terms reflecting current market conditions, according to the company's August 20 press release, but **no dollar value for the arrangement was disclosed** in the 8-K or its exhibits.

That dependency runs in one direction. DraftKings needs Boot Hill to keep its Kansas Lottery contract. Boot Hill needs Kansas to keep renewing. The first renewal took five years to arrive at a first extension; how the state decides in 2030 is not a question this filing addresses.
