Boralex Inc. TSX: BLX

**Brookfield and La Caisse have closed their acquisition of Boralex Inc.**, the Montreal-based renewable power producer listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under BLX, the parties said on August 14, 2026.

The buyer group consists of **Brookfield together with institutional partners including Brookfield Renewable Partners, and La Caisse**, the Quebec institutional investor formerly known as CDPQ. The transaction had been announced previously; the statement confirms only that it has now been completed.

The deal was carried out **as a plan of arrangement under the Canada Business Corporations Act**. A plan of arrangement is a court-approved procedure used in Canada to acquire all of a company's outstanding shares, which requires shareholder and court approval and results in the target being taken private.

**No purchase price, share consideration or ownership split between the buyers was disclosed** in the announcement, and it gives no detail on regulatory approvals, closing conditions or the timetable for Boralex's delisting from the TSX.
